Amy's Spicy Taco Lasagna
Ingredients
9 lasagna noodles
2 pounds ground beef
2 packets taco seasoning
48 ounces spaghetti sauce
1 small can green chilies
24 ounces Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
sour cream
picante sauce
Instructions
Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Preheat oven to 300 F, and spray the bottom of a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain well. Add taco seasoning with water and cook according to package directions. In a large bowl, combine green chilies with spaghetti sauce and set aside. Place three noodles, 8 ounces of cheese, 1/3 of the meat, 16 ounces of spaghetti sauce on the first layer. On the second layer, place three noodles, 8 ounces of cheese, 1/2 of the meat, and 16 ounces of spaghetti sauce. On the third layer, place three noodles, the remaining cheese, meat, and spaghetti sauce, Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 15 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve with sour cream and picante sauce. Makes 12 servings.
