Best Ever Mac N' Cheese
Ingredients3 1/3 cups elbow macaroni, dry
4 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
24 ounces evaporated milk
2 cups water
4 tablespoons butter
6 cups mild cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
InstructionsCook and drain macaroni according to package directions, and put in oblong crock pot. Combine corn starch, salt, mustard and pepper in large sauce pan. Stir in evaporated milk, water and butter. Cook over medium/high heat stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Stir in cheeses until melted. Pour over macaroni and stir. Let cook in crock pot on low for 1 hour stirring after 30 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
If you only have a small crock pot, halve the recipe.
