Mexican Style Black Eyed Peas
Ingredients
1 pound black eyed peas
6 cups water
1/4 pound bacon, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
In a slow cooking pot, combine black-eyed peas with water and soak overnight. Once beans have soaked, cook on high for 2 hours until tender. Turn control to low. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover and cook for 8 hours. Makes 12 servings.
