Easy Schnecken
Ingredients
2 cans of Crescent Rolls1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup raisins
Light Karo Syrup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Open one can of rolls, and place on floured board. Roll out dough and press seams together to make one sheet of dough. Brush dough with melted butter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar evenly over dough, then 1 tablespoon cinnamon and finally 1/2 cup raisins. Starting from the long side, carefully and slowly roll dough as if making a jelly roll. Cut into 12 equal pieces, approximately 1 inch thick. Repeat the procedure with the second can of rolls.Grease 24 muffin tins and then pour just enough Karo Syrup into muffin tins to cover the bottom. Place each piece of rolled dough into pan on top of syrup. Bake for 20 minutes or until brown. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND INVERT IMMEDIATELY ONTO SERVING PLATE. Yields 24 servings.
