Root Beer Float Cake
Ingredients
1 box white cake mix
2 1/4 cups root beer, cold and divided
1/4 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
2 packages Dream Whip
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 1/4 cup root beer, oil and eggs. Beat on low speed of an electric mixer for 2 minutes or by hand for 3 minutes. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack. In a small bowl, combine the Dream Whip and 1 cup of root beer. Beat until soft peaks form, about 3 minutes. Frost cooled cake, and store in the refrigerator. Yields 12 servings.
