Southern Black Eyed Peas
Ingredients
1 pound dried black eyed peas
4 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1//4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 large onion
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 ham hocks
Instructions
Cover peas with water and soak overnight. Drain and place in crock pot. Add water and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 1 to 2 hours then turn to low for 8 to 9 hours. Serve over fluffy hot rice and pass the cornbread.
