Apple Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots
Ingredients
2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped pecan or walnuts
Instructions
In a slow cooker, combine carrots and apple juice. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until carrots are tender. Remove carrots from the slow cooker and discard juices. Return carrots to a slow cooker. Stir in sugar, butter, and salt. Cover and cook on high for 15 to 20 minutes or until carrots are glazed. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Makes 6 servings.
