Sweet Fluffy Cornbread
Ingredients
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F and grease an 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Stir together dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Make a well in the middle. In a small bowl, combine milk, egg and oil together. Beat thoroughly then pour into the well of dry ingredients. Mix well and pour into prepared pan. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 9 servings.
