Trisha Yearwood's Baked Beans
Ingredients
1 lb bacon
1 large onion, chopped
60 oz pork and beans
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp dry mustard
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Fry the bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet, leaving the drippings, and drain the bacon on paper towels. Crumble the bacon and set aside. Save 4 tablespoons of drippings and discard the rest. Add the onion to the skillet and saute until softened, about 7 minutes. Stir in the beans, molasses, sugar, mustard and bacon. Mix well and pour into a greased 3 quart casserole dish and bake for 45 minutes. Makes 12 servings.
