Sausage Gravy
Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Brown and crumble sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink. Add onions and continue to cook until the onions are translucent. Add butter and stir until melted. Stir in flour and garlic, then saute for about one minute. Gradually stir in milk. Bring mixture to a low boil and cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper, then serve over split biscuits.
