Bang Bang Chicken
This chicken will not look right until you put the sauce over it. It is kind of bland.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a large Ziploc bag, combine flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, powders, and basil and shake until mixed. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar, stirring with a spoon. Cover sauce and set aside until ready to use. In a small bowl, combine egg and milk, whisking together. Place cubed chicken in the Ziploc bag, shaking it a few times to bread the chicken. Then dip the chicken in the egg mixture and return back to the Ziploc bag. Once coated, place each piece of chicken on tho the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25 minutes. While the chicken is still hot, use half of the sauce to coat the chicken. Sprinkle with a little extra dried basil and serve with sauce on the side. Makes 3 servings.
