Buffet Green Beans
Beth Hedges' recipe that feeds 50.
Ingredients
2 #10 cans of green beans (192 ounces)1/2 cup onion flakes
1 cup boiling water
2 cups butter, melted
2 teaspoons celery salt
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
2 tablespoons dill weed
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon thyme
Instructions
Drain green beans and rinse with cold water. Pour beans into a 12 x 24 buffet pan. Preheat oven to 350 F. Pour boiling water over onion flakes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes, and then drain. Add onion flakes and the remaining ingredients to melted butter. Mix well and pour over beans. cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Makes 50 servings.Can also use four 9 x 13 dishes instead of buffet pan.
