Chocolate Cobbler

Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 cups boiling water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Place butter in 9x13 inch baking dish and put in the oven to melt for 5 minutes. In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/4 cups sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and milk and mix until well combined. Once the butter has melted, bring the pan out of the oven and pour the batter over the butter, and do not stir. In a separate small bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with cocoa powder. Sprinkle cocoa mixture over the batter and do not stir. Pour boiling water over the mixture and do not stir. Bake cobbler for 40 to 45 minutes or until the crust is a nice golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream. Makes 12 servings.
